Jake Pardus

As one of the Health, Equity, and Nature Youth Leadership Interns, Jake’s work involves independent projects related to the HEN Accelerator program, expanding an understanding of Environmental Justice issues in Lake County, and building experience in community organizing with a nonprofit.

Padres recently graduated from the College of Lake County with an associate’s degree in sustainability. This fall, Jake is transferring to Loyola University Chicago to study Environmental Policy. While Jake studied at the College of Lake County, Jake was the co-founder and President of OASIS (Organization for Action, Sustainability, and Innovation by Students), a student-led organization focused on delivering environmental, social, and economic equity on campus.

Jake Pardus grew up in Gurnee, Illinois. Jake adores meeting new people and fostering a sense of community. One of Jake’s favorite pastimes is collaging with gathered materials.
