Our Initiatives
We Believe
Everyone deserves a healthy environment and access to the outdoors. Brushwood creates impact through the following community centered initiatives.
Health, Equity, and Nature Accelerator
In 2023, Brushwood released a first-of-its-kind health, equity, and nature report – pairing research with community-led findings about the relationship between nature and our health and wellbeing. This process and approach is at the core of what we do, and empowers us to turn insights into action, and action into change.

Arts & Music
Dynamic year-round programs exploring themes on equity, justice, and the impact of nature on wellbeing with more than 300+ artists each year.
It’s A W.I.N. (Art and Wellness in Nature)
More than 2,000 children and their families access the outdoors through field trips, nature outings, and arts activities with community partners annually.
At Ease: Art and Nature for Veterans
Serving hundreds of Veterans and members of the Military Community each year, At Ease empowers wellbeing through nature-based art, music, and community workshops.
Locally and nationally, Brushwood collaborates with a diverse partner network. Together, we expand impact and reach – co-creating experiences with our community by sharing unique access, resources, and expertise.
