Summer Education Internship

Brushwood Center is seeking an enthusiastic candidate with experience in youth programming and/or
education, as well as a passion for community engagement and the outdoors. The Summer Education
intern will work closely with Brushwood Center’s It’s A W.I.N. (Art and Wellness in Nature) team,
including the Youth Education Coordinator and Senior Program Director, as well as the Communications
Coordinator. The intern will primarily focus on supporting summer education programs and distribution
events for the Nature Explorer Backpack / Mochilas de Explorador project.

Senior Program Director

Brushwood Center seeks a creative and experienced leader with a passion for the Lake County
community, the environment, and the arts as well as mental health expertise to join our team as Senior
Program Director. This is a senior leadership position with a vital role in shaping the on-the-ground
impact of our mission. The Senior Program Director supervises a team of three full-time staff who
coordinate Brushwood Center’s community programs for youth, families, and Veterans, as well as the
growing Health, Equity, and Nature Accelerator.

Photographers and Videographer in Residence

Brushwood Center seeks two photographers and one videographer to document programs
and events and create marketing materials throughout the year. This one-year commitment includes
opportunities to showcase the artists’ own work, as well as creating new work for Brushwood Center.
Applicants must be available to attend events in Lake County, Illinois, and the surrounding area in person.
