Meet our Board

Lorra Rudman

Lorra Rudman has long served on the Board of Directors after years of supporting BCRW, and participating in its programs. After a successful 30 year career in advertising, working with national clients including Anheuser Busch, McDonald’s, and Energizer (creative director on the first “pink bunny” commercial), she became a mental health counselor (L.C.P.) in 2012, often integrating nature into her practice. She works primarily with neurodiverse adults, couples and caretakers. 

Lorra received her B.F.A. from the University of Michigan cum laude, and later earned a Masters in Counseling degree. Living just across the road from Ryerson Woods since 1998, she identifies as a Noticer and perpetual student of all forms of life. Even humans. She’s a good listener, a photographer of birds, and monitors bluebird nest boxes at Ryerson and Lake Forest Open Lands. A perpetual mother, animal lover and naturalist, Lorra appreciates daily the beauty always around her. “If you don’t see the beauty, look again.” She is grateful for the opportunity to enhance the impact of Brushwood Center on our community and beyond.
