Meet our Board

Jean Meilinger

Jean Meilinger retired from a long and successful career as a commercial real estate management executive. During that time she was active in such organizations as Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) along with CREW Network and CREW Foundation where she served three years on the Board of Trustees being inducted into CREW Visionaries in 2007.

Jean began her association with Brushwood Center in 2018 as a student in Heeyoung Kim’s artists’ workshops. She is now a member of the Brushwood Botanical Artists and holds memberships in Reed-Turner Botanical Artists Circle and the American Society of Botanical Artists.

Since 2018 Meilinger has expanded her involvement with the Brushwood Center organization embracing its mission and outreach.  She currently serves on the Finance Committee, the Capital Campaign Task Force and Campaign Cabinet. She is also a founding member of the organization’s Real Estate Advisory Committee and a member of the Resource Development Committee.

Jean lives in a converted barn in Lake Barrington with her husband, John, and their two cats.
